Plan and usage

Maya wants to know whether the team still has room to publish, how many widget views this month has used, and whether Ask AI has credits left. An agent can look that up as the account that signed in. A teammate sees the meters. View Team Billing sees the plan, and View Team Analytics sees the breakdown. This page does not change a subscription.

What you can do

Maya is about to publish another widget on the homepage. She wants to know whether the team still has room, how many widget views this month has used, and whether Ask AI still has credits. She is already in the agent. She asks. The answer is the same one the dashboard would show her.

Three jobs this is for:

  • The plan. Which plan the team is on, what it includes, and when the current period ends.
  • The meters any teammate can see. Widget views this month, Ask AI credits this month, and whether one more published widget still fits.
  • The breakdown. Production views by widget, and Ask AI credits by person and by widget or collection. That breakdown is a smaller door than the meters.

Ask AI in the composer spends a credit. This page is how you look the spending up. It does not start a turn.

The same account, a smaller view

The agent acts as the RuleCMS account that signed in when you connected MCP. It does not get a side door into billing.

Here is the case that surprises people. Jordan is on Maya's team. He can open the team. He asks how many widget views are left, and the agent answers. He asks which widgets were viewed, and the agent refuses. The view meter is for every teammate. The per-widget breakdown is View Team Analytics. Jordan is not in that user group. The Analytics page in the dashboard would have stopped him too.

View Team Billing can see the plan, the renewal, and the Ask AI plan. View Team Analytics can see production usage and how Ask AI credits were spent. A teammate in neither group still sees the two meters: views this month, and Ask AI credits this month.

Ask about the plan

Maya has View Team Billing. She wants the plan before she publishes.

  1. Connect RuleCMS in the agent, if you have not. The steps are on MCP.
  2. Name the team. Ask for the plan, what it includes, and when the period ends.
  3. Read the answer. Team plans are Free, Pro, Business, and Enterprise. The answer names the one this team is on, whether it is active, the billing interval, and the date the period ends. It also names how many published widgets the plan allows, how many widget views a month, how much media storage, and whether video is included.
  4. Ask about Ask AI the same way. Those plans are Pay as you go, Core, Plus, and Custom. Pay as you go includes no monthly credits. Purchased credits are a separate balance, and they do not expire at the end of the month. The answer lists the plans and credit packs the billing page offers, with their prices.

A teammate without View Team Billing does not get that page. They still get the plan name on the two meters below, which is enough to see Free versus Business, and not enough to see the renewal or the prices.

Ask about views and Ask AI credits

These three answers are for any active teammate. They do not require a billing group.

  • Widget views this month. Used, the monthly cap, and a short sentence such as how many of the allowance are gone. The month is the current UTC month.
  • Ask AI credits this month. Included credits used, the monthly cap, and the purchased balance. Name a past month when you want one. September 2026 is 202609. Pay as you go has a cap of zero included credits, so the included allowance reads as used up before anyone asks. The purchased balance is the number that matters on that plan.
  • Room for another published widget. Ask without naming a widget when you want the count and the cap. Collections are not counted. Name a widget that is already published when you only need to know that publishing it again is allowed. That answer does not recount the team.

Ask about usage

Maya has View Team Analytics. She wants to know whether the homepage hero is actually being viewed, and who has been using Ask AI.

  1. Name the team. Ask for production widget usage.
  2. The overview is production only. It is a monthly trend, then one row per published widget, including a widget with zero views. Figures land after each UTC hour completes, so the latest hour can lag by an hour or more.
  3. Ask about one widget by its published key when you want the trend by month, day, or hour. Month is the default.
  4. Ask about Ask AI credits the same way. One turn is one credit. A turn that fails or is cancelled still counts. The overview lists documents and authors. Ask for one author, or one widget or collection, when you want that trend by month, day, or hour.

If that person, or that widget, has never used Ask AI on this team, the agent is told there is no usage to show. That is an empty history. The connection is fine.

What an administrator can see

Two different administrators show up in these answers. They are not the same job.

An organization administrator sees the organizations they administer, the teams inside one, and the administrators of it. Maya created hers, so she is one. A teammate she invited to a team still sees that team in their own team list. Their organization list is empty. They are a member, not an organization administrator. Pending administrator invitations show up on the account that was invited.

A RuleCMS administrator can read the catalog of permissions and roles, including which permissions one role includes. A teammate cannot. The agent is told this account does not have permission. A RuleCMS administrator is also not held to the team's published-widget cap when they ask whether another widget can be published.

Anyone signed in can ask what this account is allowed to do. Name the team. Without the team, the answer is only the grants every account has, such as seeing your own teams. Naming the team adds View Team Billing and View Team Analytics when those groups are assigned.

The shared RuleCMS library, the files RuleCMS itself provides, is a separate lookup. Any signed-in account can list its tags and its files. It is not the team Images library. If you ask for a file that is not there, the agent is told the asset was not found.

Names you may see

You do not have to type these. They are the labels in the agent's tool list, if you open it.

When the answer is thin

What you seeWhat it usually means
The agent will not show the plan or the pricesThis account is not in View Team Billing on that team. The meters can still answer.
The agent will not show per-widget usageThis account is not in View Team Analytics. The view meter is a different question.
No usage for this author, or this documentThat person or that widget has no Ask AI turns on this team. Ask for the team overview first.
The organization list is emptyThis account is not an organization administrator. The team list can still have the team.
The agent cannot open the permission catalogThis account is not a RuleCMS administrator.

This page does not change a plan

Nothing here subscribes the team, switches a plan, buys a credit pack, or opens payment details. Manage Team Billing does that on the team billing page, for an account in that user group. Ask the agent to look. Change the plan in the dashboard.
