- Where to find it
- Labelled Video Loop in the "Selected Component" section of the Modify drawer.
- Offered by
- The Video component. Other components do not have this setting.
- Per device
- Yes — you can set one value for every screen, or separate values for phone, tablet, and desktop.
In plain English
With looping on, the video restarts the moment it finishes, indefinitely. It is the difference between a clip that plays and stops, and one that behaves like moving wallpaper.
It suits short, silent clips where there is no beginning or end to speak of — a few seconds of a process, a texture, an animation. Combined with autoplay and muting, that is the standard recipe for a background video.
It suits almost nothing else. A testimonial that restarts the moment it ends is not immersive, it is a video that will not let you go.
What each option does
| Option | What you will see |
|---|---|
true | Restart automatically, over and over. |
false | Stop at the end and stay on the last frame. |
When you would use it
- A short background or decorative clip, usually a few seconds long.
How to change it
- Click the video component on the canvas.
- In the Modify drawer, open "Selected Component", then "Video Loop".
- Choose "true" or "false".
One value, or one per device? Every input in this setting sits under a “Same value for all resolutions” checkbox. Leave it checked for a single value everywhere, or uncheck it to give phones, tablets, and desktops their own. How per-device values work.
Watch out for
- Never loop a video with sound. A repeating voice or music track is the fastest way to make someone close the tab.
- A looping clip should join back to its own start cleanly, or every repeat announces itself with a visible jump.
- Looping video keeps working the device for as long as the page is open, which costs battery on phones and laptops.
